- Local is missing The airspace stack has been built from the aircraft down. Nobody has built the layer that represents the people on the ground, and it will not appear on its own.
- Complete, don't compete Traffic management systems do a job Argon has no business doing. We supply them with something they currently lack, and we are careful about the boundary.
- Defensible beats fast An assessment that cannot be explained is worse than no assessment. Where a judgement needs a person, it gets one.
Data architecture, and four decades in the cockpit
Marcus Carr
Systems Architect and Project DirectorMarcus has worked on data systems for 35 years, including 13 years in a consultancy serving airlines, aviation regulatory bodies and aerospace suppliers. He has developed industry-wide data standards for the defence and banking sectors, and designed data structures across dozens of industries. He specialises in recognising the strategic value of data — not just for its immediate purpose, but for the full breadth of how it may be used later.
He lives off grid on a 20-acre bush block 35 km outside Darwin, where he cares for and releases possums.
Michael Bryan
Aviation and Regulatory ExpertiseMichael is a retired long-haul Captain with over 44 years and almost 25,000 hours of aeronautical experience across airlines, business and general aviation, and training. During his career he chaired the digital data working groups that helped bring digital capability into the industry landscape for the early Electronic Library System.
He is recognised internationally as a thought leader on Trajectory Based Operations, the next wave of air traffic management. Michael holds a Master of Aviation Management and a diploma in Electronic Engineering, and is a PRINCE2® Practitioner.
Metrops
A metropolis works because of the systems that let millions of separate journeys happen at once — roads, timetables, zoning, noise rules, the accumulated civic machinery of living close together.
Almost none of that exists for the airspace directly above the same streets. Advanced air mobility is arriving into a civic vacuum. Metrops is the work of filling it.
