Metrops Pty Ltd (ABN 12 669 236 891) ("Metrops", "we", "us") builds applications and provides related services for advanced air mobility. This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through metrops.aero. We aim to handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) set out in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
Information we collect
The main way we collect personal information is when you get in touch. Through the enquiry form we collect your name, your work email address, the council or organisation you represent (if you provide it), the role or category you select, and whatever you write in your message. If you email us directly, we collect your email address and the contents of your email.
When you visit the site, our hosting and supporting services automatically record limited technical information — such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages requested — to keep the site running and secure. Our pages also load fonts from Google Fonts; to deliver those fonts, Google may receive your IP address. This site does not set advertising or tracking cookies.
How we use your information
We use what you give us to respond to your enquiry, to arrange and run a demonstration of Argon, and to follow up with you about it. We do not use your information for advertising and we do not sell it to anyone.
Who we share it with, and overseas disclosure
We rely on a small number of third-party services to run the site and handle enquiries, and some of these are located outside Australia:
- Enquiry form. Form submissions are processed by Web3Forms, which operates on servers in the United States. This means the information you submit through the form is disclosed to, and stored on, servers outside Australia.
- Hosting. The site is hosted on GitHub Pages (GitHub, Inc.), which may hold technical log data outside Australia.
- Fonts. As above, Google Fonts may receive your IP address to serve fonts.
By submitting the enquiry form you acknowledge that your information will be processed overseas as described. We take reasonable steps to use reputable providers, but overseas recipients may be subject to laws different from Australia's.
Storage and security
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, loss, and unauthorised access. Enquiry details reach us by email and through the Web3Forms dashboard. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry information for as long as we need it to respond to you and to maintain our relationship with your organisation, and for 12 months after that, after which we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.
Accessing and correcting your information
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing info@metrops.aero. We will respond within a reasonable time, and we will let you know if there is any reason we cannot action your request.
Complaints
If you are concerned about how we have handled your personal information, please contact us first at info@metrops.aero so we can try to put it right. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can raise the matter with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always the one on this page, with the effective date shown at the top.
